Saw this on www.marcandangel.com this week and liked it! It was posted here . Courage – It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you aren’t really living at all – you’re merely existing.  You cannot always wait for the perfect time; sometimes you must dare to jump .   Sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage – just literally twenty seconds of uncomfortable bravery – and I promise you, something great will come of it. I can honestly say, no big change I've made hasn't worked out and I can also say that no big change I've made has been comfortable!  That's me jumping! YAY COURAGE...and JUMPING! NEW JOB HERE I COME!

Feel Good = Do Good = Look Good!

Hola Everyone! Happy Monday! Today, was the last Monday at my current job! Next Monday, I'll be starting both a new job AND turning 29!! (And I reiterate, I take presents...I'm heavily food motivated as well..**HINT, HINT). So, I came across this post today and I laughed my a$$ off. I really think you should read it. Hopefully, you have the same sense of humor as I do and then you can appreciate it more! haha. I sent it to Jackie and told her it reminded me of some of her pep talks she's given me! And it also reminds me that we all shouldn't fret so much! If you're being good to yourself and taking good care of yourself, then who the hell cares!? Yes, admittedly the guy might come across as a bit of, in my friend Kendra's words, "Delta Bravo" but the point is there! Anyway, I suppose I went on this random post reading because well 1) work was slow and 2) because I'm currently struggling with some body image issues. Most of my friends know ...

I'll tell you why September rocks!

Happy September Everyone! September is an awesome month. I'll tell you why... It's my birthday month (I take presents). I'm celerbrating my last birthday of my 20's (GASP!). It's fall, my most favorite season ever. I am starting a new job. Big things are happening! So, in preparation for this big month, I celebrated by eating out a million times this weekend with various friends, and made a million creations in my kitchen that I have been neglecting for the last few months. I also joined a new gym and got my a$$ completely handed to me on both Saturday and on Monday. UGH - but let's not kid ourselves, I do LOVE it. OH, and the other thing that happened - I got Netflix, watched a million episodes of Breaking Bad and have decided that between cooking/baking in my kitchen while watching Netflix, I may never have to leave the house again. Perfect timing since the shittiest season ever is going to be settling in before long....in case you're confused - I'm r...

Back from the East!

Image
Miss me!? Probably not, though my page views indicate that this little blog has been viewed more than 1000 times, with at least 500 of those probably being me looking at it because I'm so impressed with the number of times I've posted! :) So, I got back late on Sunday night from an epic trip out to the Eastern coast of Canada. I was lucky enough to get sent to a Career Fair in Fredricton by my work. My friend and I decided we best make an adventure out of it, so we rented a car and headed to Moncton after we closed shop on Thursday night. It was awesome ! Pictures will be posted below. I ate a lot of seafood. I ate lobster at least 3 times. I love lobster. Period. We stayed at the Downtown Bed & Breakfast in Moncton. Linda, our host, made us french toast all 3 mornings as well as the best homemade banana bread I've ever tasted! Catch 22 in Moncton, is worth the visit as is the Pumphouse Microbrewrey - they make VERY good blueberry beer! DELISH. I ate the best cocon...

Sunday Funday!

Image
Happy Sunday Funday People! I have had a very good weekend, thank you for asking! It has been low key and very needed. I didn't end up racing in the Spartan Race which was a bit sad but it meant I got to go to Crossfit and work on some more lifts which is super cool in my life! I would like to update you that my front squat PR (personal record FYI) is 185 pounds. I managed to overhead squat 105 pounds which is pretty cool but failed at 205 pounds for my back squat. It pissed me off because I know I could do it, just lost form and was tired. Anyway, you guys don't want to hear about that crap. I love it but let's not let me go on and on and on... Silliness. (BUT I LOVE IT FYI) Weekend recap: Friday started with crossfit and I got to see Michelle was a quickie date on Friday which was lovely, and also got a visit in with some family friends. I went to Crossfit and  then got to watch a bit of rugby on Saturday. I watched my old team kick ass and win City Finals playing agai...

MUG CAKE

Hola! Don't get overwhelmed - yes... I know, 3rd post of the week! BAM. I've been tired all week. I don't want to sound like a whiny baby, but I've been really tired all week! I mean, come on... I just came back from a stellar week off. The last thing I should be is tired! Anyway - I am. I ran with Bethan on Sunday - 8km and let me tell you, she just had a baby in June and she is looking HOT. I did Crossfit the last 3 nights. 2 out of 3 workouts were great, and last night's was poop. I'm wondering if maybe I pushed myself too hard this week? The thing is, I don't want to stop, or rest, or be tired. I got on the plane this morning and fell asleep right away and tonight, I got on the plane and didn't even make it to take off...which was a disappointment, it's my favorite part! So, all of this tiredness got me to wondering... What can I do differently!? Well, I decided that I was going to cut out refined sugar (which it's Day #4 SUCCESS), so I a...
